I have been making more jam, but this time with raspberries. Raspberries are so easy to grow, BUT so very expensive to buy. So if you LOVE raspberries, get some beginners and watch them grow! They grow and bend down transplanting themselves. It is so cool to watch their "canes" begin another row.

Goodness...my mouth is watering at this moment!
I'm in Newfoundland (Canada) -- our raspberries are nowhere near ready yet. Haven't even blossomed. We hve lots of bushes along the side of our house. We can get about 10-12 cups of berries each day.
I just LOVE your blog. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
I have to confess....I did plant 4 berry plants that ended up dying due to my not planting them soon enough after I bought them. I cringe at the fact that I spent $20 on those, only so they could come to my house and die!
I love making jam and was hoping to use my own home-grown berries, but not this year I guess! :)
I've never been able to get raspberries to thrive, but this pic sure does make me want to try again! Do love a nice thumbprint cookies filled with (homemade) raspberry jam - nothing like it!
Enticing post. Will you be passing on your knowledge about growing raspberries or about the fine art of making your raspberry jam recipe soon? I do look forward to it. I just can't wait to learn from you.
I tried growing red raspberries and failed. I make due with the wild black raspberries (blackcaps)...not quite as good but free for the taking.
