In the foreground... rows of beans, then cucumbers, tomatoes and red cabbage

Isn't this little guy just so cute...tiny yellow squash...which are sooo good

Cucumbers climbing their trellis...I simply love sun and shadows and thought this picture was so nice.

Looks like FINALLY we shall have an abundance of seedless grapes!! Beauties for real!

Things are just lov'n the wet summer...Thank you Lord for you truely know just what we need when we need it...if I didn't already know that.

What are the advantages of letting cucumber climb? Is it simply a space issue? I ended just leaving mine but I'm thinking of letting them climb next year!
Well Katie...like you mentioned, it saves tons of room. The two long rows we planted are confined whereas if we left them roam, they would no doubt take over the entire garden...lol..also, you can miss some cukes that are hiding under the massive greenery if laying, then there is the wet rot issue where they lay on the ground and mold and not to forget for me to reach into a black snack is not fun....just a few reasons, but you will find space is a major issue one with climbing plants. I have enough trouble keeping the watermelon and lope vines out of the bean row.....smile!
Beautiful garden!!

Thank you Laura! How nice...I will accept your invite.
Oh, I didn't think of wet rot! Hmmm, I wonder if it's too late to get them to climbing?
Thanks :)
Your garden is absolutely beautiful. Mine is so tiny and puny in comparison, lol.
I love your photos, loved the ones of the rows with the morning light and the one of the grapes.
Have a blessed and beautiful day,
Kathy C.
Oh my goodness. I am going to save a link to this blog on my cabin blog. I have been thinking about giving canning a try, or at least jam making. But, I'll have to buy my produce 'cause I don't have room for veggies in my flower gardens! tee hee!
What a beautiful garden! I love the cuke trellis, what is it made of, just jute-string? I would love to plant some, but I only have 2-7x7 foot gardens and space is at a premium.
I'm bookmarking you on my blog, great info!!
